NWA Benefit Concerts for Joplin Tornado Relief

This past weekend an F-5 tornado shaved across Southeastern MO leaving a large part of the Joplin area devastated with over 120 confirmed dead, nearly 900 injured, and with around 1500 still unaccounted for, becoming one of the deadliest natural disasters to strike this century.   While the multitudes of rescue workers donate their time in the makeshift medical tents and clean-up crews searching for what survivors may still be trapped under rubble.... Northwest Arkansas musicians have also banded together to help in the relief effort.  Joplin having long since been adopted by the Northwest Arkansas community, has always shared a passion for local music.  So it should be of no surprise to see the reaction of the locals as they donate canned food items and blood around Fayetteville, but the eagerness to do and do more has me taken back and asking what can I do.  Members of the Local Music scene have acted fast to organize benefit concerts over this coming weekend and now I must do my part to help promote these efforts and see that they prove bountiful for the needing city of Joplin.  I pray that this article will find you all and that you feel moved to help by attending and showing your support through a celebration of life and those who have survived.

The following events are being held in and around the Northwest Arkansas region, be sure to check each event link to see what type of donations they are accepting!  If you have details of additional events in the area you can contact Rebeleven Music at rebelevenmusic@gmail.com / (479) 435-5105 / Rebeleven on Facebook
