Hipstabook : Top 100 Bands Under 5,000 "Likes" Pt. 1

What started out as just wanting to put together a small list of some of the lesser known bands I follow, turned into an epic battle. Though sending my music library through a fine sieve did some good for me as I re-found music that had been lulling in the background, it had a sort of melancholy nostalgia. A warm but depressed feeling that comes to you much like looking at a photograph of a lost loved one. I had neglected my ears and my heart felt the weight of their emptiness; however, not like a graveyard, music can be brought back to life in a glorious revival of sound. Click after click I gave life to these bands that were so far under the radar that even I as a fan had lost track of them. In an effort to keep them alive in my life and yours I have compiled a list of 100 bands that are deserving of a few more "likes". Listen and Love.

Backroad Burners
From country to bluegrass, singer-songwriters included, these bands have their roots deep in the American South stretching from the desert westerns into the windswept plains across the delta and into the eastern mountains where this music calls home
